The Walt Whitman House in Camden, New Jersey, is the last residence of the renowned American poet Walt Whitman. Preserved as a National Historic Landmark, the house offers an intimate glimpse into Whitman’s later life, featuring original furnishings, personal belongings, and rare manuscripts. The site is managed by the Walt Whitman Association, which provides guided tours that explore the poet's life, work, and his connection to Camden. The house also hosts special events and poetry readings that celebrate Whitman's literary legacy.
Visits to the Walt Whitman House are by guided tours only. Please call to make reservations at least three weeks in advance.
