The story of Axe & Arrow is your classic  homebrewing story… a couple of South Jersey guys started messing around in the garage, brewing beer on the weekends. Over time the equipment was upgraded and the operations were moved to the basement to allow more control over the elements. Those homebrewers then started talking about upgrading to professional equipment in a professional space… yep, they wanted to open a brewery. One of those homebrewers was Axe & Arrow founder, Josh Lockman. Once Josh’s wife, Krystle, realized he wanted this to be more than a daydream she knew someone had to help navigate the business side of things. They decided to make their dream a reality. Named for the Scottish heritage of those homebrewers, Lockman being the Scottish Executioner (traditionally wielding weapons such as an axe), Axe & Arrow was born.
