All About Cattus Island County Park, NJ
Cattus Island Park also known as Cattus Island is a 530-acre passive recreational park located in Toms River, New Jersey. Within the park, you'll find 7 miles of trails to explore including a few raised scenic boardwalks, Picnic and playground areas along with Bird Observation Blings and Cartop Boat Launches. There is also a new Wheel Chair accessible 1000ft ADA Boardwalk that is complete and now open.
The recently renovated Cooper Environmental Center offers brand new exhibits highlighting the natural beauty of the park and the Barnegat Bay! Hands-on educational displays such as, a live view osprey cam, habitat tree and tunnel, bird viewing area, children's activity corner and spectacular collections of live reptiles and fish. This is also where you'll find the Cattus Island Butterfly Garden.

Admission to the park and Cooper Environmental Center is FREE.
The park is open every day from 7:00 am to dusk.
The Cooper Environmental Center is now OPEN!
Weekdays 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. Weekends 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
