If you're into hiking and treasure hunts, the Silver Spray Falls or (Hidden Falls) hike is perfect for you! Not many know, but this hike is in the same area as the well known Buttermilk Falls and Coopermines Cascade. Keep reading for a little more detail on this secret hike!
This trail is typically hard to find due to the unmarked trailhead; this is most likely where the nickname "Hidden Falls" comes from. We're going to get you started in the right direction, but the fun is finding it yourself!
You're going to want to park at the Buttermilk Falls parking lot and walk north on Mountain Road for about .5 miles. You'll soon find a pull-off area with room for one or two cars, and this is also where you'll find the trailhead.
From here, the falls are only about .25 miles, but the trail is also unmarked, so being sure to take the right path is crucial to making It to the falls. If you don't cross a stream, you'll miss the falls. Be sure to listen and keep your eyes out as the falls can also sometimes be hard to see.
Trying to locate the falls is a lot of fun, but many times people have trouble finding it on their first attempt. With the trails being unmarked, be sure to keep track and remember where your walking so you can find your way out.
