Walk & Wine - Pairing Two - Central Jersey

Join us on this unique Wine Tour through New Jersey. Every other week we'll be pairing a Hike with a local Winery for you to enjoy! Can you think of a better way to spend a sunny weekend this spring and summer? Take a scenic hike and then settle in for a wine tasting! We sure can't! Check out the second pairing below! Photos of the hike and winery are the bottom of the post! Depending on when you complete this Walk & Wine the winery may not be open due to Covid-19. This week's winery is doing orders to go!

Sourland Mountain Preserve

The Sourland Mountain Preserve stretches across Hillsborough and Montgomery Townships in Somerset County. The 4,000-acre nature preserve is home to over 11 great hiking trails with all types of terrain. This is the perfect area to hike with a mixed group of skill level hikers. For beginners or leisure hikers we recommend the White Square Loop, this is an easy 2.3-mile trail that loops from the parking lot off E Mountain Rd. For a more moderate hike, we suggest the Mountain Ridge Inner Loop Trail. This is a 3.6-mile hike with a variation in terrain and elevation it features a river and also leaves from the same parking lot as the White Square Loop. For all trails in the preserve, you can click here. For more info on the specific trails mentioned above check out the links below.

Old York Cellars, Ringoes

This week's Vineyard is located in Ringoes, NJ. When visiting Old York Cellars you'll feel as if you left Jersey and were dropped in the middle of Napa Wine Country! This modern and scenic winery has picturesque views off the patio outback. It's the perfect place to unwind after the hike, take in the views and enjoy your favorite wine from the tasting! Weekends they have live music for you to enjoy! Tastings are $10 per person!

Due to Covid-19 Old York Cellars is currently operating with to-go orders. Depending on when you complete this Walk & Wine the tasting room may be closed. Please check with the winery for hours and operations.
